Honda has introduced the new generation 2024 Amaze in India. The Honda Amaze prices range from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 10.90 lakh (both ex-showroom). The automaker has given the Amaze a new appearance, including an Elevate-inspired front end and distinctive wing-shaped LED taillights & The sedan comes in three models and six color combinations. Its design differs from the previous Honda Amaze facelift. This generation upgrade includes a number of new technologies for the Honda Amaze including segment-first advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 90 PS and 110 Nm, has not changed. It is coupled to a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic powertrain.
Engine
The Honda Amaze’s 1.2-liter iVTEC naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates 88.5 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque, is mated to either a CVT with paddle shifters and a sport mode or a 5-speed manual gearbox. According to Honda, the manual gearbox’s gear ratios have been optimized to enhance driveability.
Exterior
With its sleek headlamps that incorporate LED daytime running lamps and a stylish chrome trim, the new Amaze’s front end boasts a bold, compact design with a hexagonal grille that is sharper and shallower than most designs. The fog lamp surrounds and the central air dam on the well-sculpted bumper are similar to those on the City, adding to the vehicle’s sophisticated and contemporary appearance.
Notably, the design is a total change from the outgoing model, and unlike the previous-generation versions. The new Dzire is 3,995mm long, 1,735mm wide, and 1,525mm high, with a 2,450mm wheelbase and 163mm ground clearance. Except for a 10mm increase in height, it is identical to the outgoing Dzire.
Features
The Amaze cabin features bucket seats in the front row and four different upholstery options. The third-generation upgrade has a floating 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. The driver also receives a new 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster. The Amaze has LED projector headlamps and daytime running lights in the front, as well as wing-shaped LED taillights. It rides on new 15-inch diamond-cut alloys. Rear passengers benefit from AC vents on the second row, and the AC blower motor has been improved with a new 2.5 HEPA filter. Other incorporated features and interior aspects include a wireless charging compartment, fully automatic climate control, and a rear center armrest with cup holders.
Safety
More than 28 active and passive safety features are included in the new Honda Amaze, which also has the Honda Sensing ADAS suite, making it the first compact sedan in India to have ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane driving aids. The camera-based ADAS makes the Honda Amaze one of the most reasonably priced vehicles with the capability. Other features of the compact sedan include six airbags, VSA, and hill start assist.
Mileage
Honda states that the new Amaze delivers a fuel efficiency of 19.46 km per liter with the manual transmission. When equipped with the CVT, the car offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.65 km per liter.
Colours & Variants
The Honda Amaze comes in six colors and six versions, including Lunar Silver Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, and Meteoroid Grey Metallic.
The V trim level will be the first of three trim levels available for the 2017 Honda Amaze. The Honda sensing features are available on the VX and ZX trim levels. As a result, there are six different versions of the car available: ZX 1.2 petroleum MT, VX 1.2 petroleum CVT, ZX 1.2 petroleum CVT, V 1.2 petroleum MT, VX 1.2 petroleum MT, and V 1.2 petroleum CVT.
The manual gearbox version of the base Amaze model costs ₹8 lakh (ex-showroom), while the CVT model costs ₹9.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The ZX model with the same price starts at ₹9.70 lakh (ex-showroom), while the VX with the manual costs ₹9.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Ex-showroom, the top-spec ZX 1.2 Petrol CVT costs ₹10.90 lakh.
